The Imam and the Pastor has won a first prize in international film festival.

The film The Imam and the Pastor, made by IofC's FLTfilms, has won first prize in the short documentary section of the Africa World Film Festival, held in St Louis, Missouri, USA (October), and Lagos, Nigeria (November). The film makers have received congratulations from a former Nigerian cabinet minister, from the Nigerian Permanent Mission to the UN in New York, and from a Nigerian programme director at the World Bank in Washington DC.

The documentary tells the remarkable story of Imam Muhammad Ashafa and Pastor James Wuye who moved from leading opposing armed militias to working together for peace and reconciliation between their respective communities.
