Imam and Pastor interviewed in Melbourne's The Age newspaper
30/10/2008
Imam Mohammad Ashafa and Pastor James Wuye are in Australia 24 October to 14 November 2008 as guests of Initiatives of Change. They were interviewed in Melbourne's leading newspaper The Age under the headline 'Imam and pastor unite for message of peace, tolerance'.
The article starts 'IN THIS age of suspicion they seem the oddest of couples: a Muslim imam and Pentecostal Christian pastor, who once wanted to kill each other. At one time both were militia leaders — and also victims — of religious conflict in Nigeria. Now they have found answers in their own faiths to become best friends.'
The article ends by mentioning that they are in Melbourne with the group Initiatives of Change.
