Initiatives of Change (IofC) Canada seeks a dynamic and engaged Canadian Youth Coordinator

Among other things the Youth Coordinator will act as a contact and support for youth teams, establish youth groups/projects and act as a key player in recruiting values driven, positive and enthusiastic people to the vision, missions, goals and objects of IofC Canada.

Job Description

Accountable to the Executive Director of Initiatives of Change, the Youth Coordinator leads teams in particular regions of Canada, acts as a contact and support for youth teams, establishes youth groups/projects and acts as a key player in recruiting values driven, positive and enthusiastic people to the vision, missions, goals and objects of IofC Canada. He/she has oversight into formulation of relevant policies and programs. Headquarters for this position are negotiable. Extensive travel (30% - 40%) inside and outside Canada can be expected.

Job requirements:

- Experience in working with youth from diverse backgrounds
- Knowledge of the non-profit sector
- Relevant university education
- Strong leadership skills
- High level of motivation to coordinate and initiate projects and youth groups
- Empowering leaders to take responsibility for new groups
- Organizing events
- Administering funds
- Fundraising
- Working with Committees
- Fluent in French and English
