Being involved with Initiatives of Change (IofC) has not only been an experience but a journey of learning and gaining so much good. It’s been years of personal development in terms of integrity and moral values. Zachariah Muturi, a young Kenyan shares his experience with IofC.

A Associação de Alunos da Universidade de Kenyatta (KUSA) organizou um fórum de líderes estudantis sobre Juventude e Liderança em 17 de Fevereiro de 2012. O fórum reuniu estudantes universitários, líderes do governo e agentes promotores de paz.

Kenyatta University Students Association (KUSA) had a student leaders' forum on Youth and Leadership on 17 February 2012. Kenya I Care group was invited to talk on 'the role of youth in governance and development of the country.'

“Povo da África, preparem-se. Os jovens ficarão revoltados e quando isso acontecer, não haverá nada a fazer para pará-los”. Essas foram as palavras resultantes de Eric Mafuna no lançamento do 6º Programa de Liderança Harambee Africa. Mafuna, fundador do Fórum Gestão Negra na África do Sul, posteriormente clamando aos presentes para reafirmar o compromisso de fazer a África o continente do século 21.

Ten Initiatives of Change (IofC) members met at the IofC’s office in Subukia on 7 November, 2011 when Chris Breitenberg from USA paid a visit to the area. It was a moment of team building and understanding what stirs them to do voluntary work in the society.

Kenya I Care sessions evaluated at Subukia Polytechnic

On 22 October, 2011, the Subukia Kenya I Care team, together with some other senior Initiatives of Change (IofC) members, were invited to have a one-day interactive session on the issue of drugs and alcoholism in Maina village, Central Kenya.

Das 6. Harambee Africa Leadership Programm fand in Lagos/Nigeria statt. Das Training wurde von Anthony Duigan geleitet. Er forderte die jungen Visionäre heraus: "Als Anführer musst du deine eigenen Quellen für Wissen und Inspiration finden." Und er fügte hinzu: "Anführen können ist die Fähigkeit, dein volles Potential auszuleben."
